aaa yess

Back from madrid, and after about 7 or 8 hours on the bus, with a bunch of loud, stinky people that I have never met before, it was such a nice dig sitting down with pizza and cold beer. And then, admist my temporary bliss, I opened an email to find out that I was awarded 3000 pounds to go study next year. That´s huge!! it´s over 25% of the total tuition over there and what a difference it makes. That will make things much much easier.

Back to my high from the pizza and good news, i´m sure i´ll be back down soon...

cap a madrid

so tonight i get to leave my very comfortable bed (again) for three days in madrid, just to hand in some documents for my visa. hopefully they accept everything and can tell me when and how soon till I pick it up, so I can get a chance to make travel plans for july. if not, no big deal cause I would be just fine hanging out in TGN at the beach and pool and making the most to run, swim, bike and play squash.

suggestions for stuff to do in madrid?! i just did the tourist deal in march with the spankster, so besides sleeping and I got some videos downloaded so that will keep me entertained and hopefully Nika has some time to make some beer rounds!
i have another 6 hours to kill, so i´m gonna go get started on that!

Back.... in several pieces!!!

What a trip to Magherfelt. As I sit here wearing my O'Donovan Rossa Gaelic football jersey, with an aching body from too much Guinness, too little sleep, too much translating, and the absolute SHIT matresses we had in the gymnasium, I get a chance to reflect and say that it was all in all a pretty cool trip.

Castles, seeing a new country (both small town and large city -Belfast), time with the colla, my mates Kerr, Darren, and Shane (prounounced shi-ane) it wasn´t too bad!

Now, time to rest, no? Luckily, today is a holiday in Tarragona, so nothing is open. Oh wait, not luckily... I meant to say, great job Spain, thumbs up!! and additionally, today isn´t even a holiday. some other holiday fell on a weekend and since the people here would revolt if they didn´t get a day off work (God help them, I mean, with 18% unemployment (43% for 18-35 age group) I know how stressful it is having to make some extra green, or in this case, blues reds and greens).

I´m gonna go eat the scraps of food in the refridgerator and then hopefully rest well tonight.

Melnet Tune of The Month - June 2011 - Lemmy Brazil's No. 2

This is my first TOTM ever!! Also, the first song that I have been able to play altogether on the melodeon... it's a one row in D.

The song is called "Lemmy Brazil's No. 2", an English hornpipe.

Enjoy!
