I was going at it great with the two a day thing but after about 2 or 3 weeks I noticed that I needed more rest and I was struggling a little bit more in the afternoons. I think that I have to drop back to a one a dayer.
That means that I will try to do my invented circuit workouts everyother day but I can throw in a leg component which will give me a little bit more time at the gym, keep that heartrate up, and since I won´t be running in the afternoon, it´s okay to burn out the legs.
Swimming is still gotta be the best for the aerobic shit. It´s alternating hard and fast, long distances, different different different. I´ll keep it up. runs are gonig to be changed into either intervals or much lower HR, like 150 max, over a longer distance, see if I can get that timer up to 1:20.
156.4 pounds today: that is about 71.9 kilos... that puts me about 6.4 away from my summer goal.... can I do it?

Am I the only one that reads this?
So, in 25 days, which is 3.5 weeks, my YMOT stats are as follows:
45.8km running
111.9km biking
11.7km swimming
14 hours 45 minutes at the gym
5.4 pounds lighter (about 157 now)
Not enough
Those rest days seem really well deserved. From here on, i´m going to go easy on the bike... it´s a low heart rate exercise and it seems virtually the same everytime. Not to mention it´s uncomfortable...
My plan of action now is to keep swimming because it´s a great all body and heart rate up and down workout, and to keep running. I´d like to be able to run 80 minutes (1 hour 20 minutes) without stopping. If I can do that before I head up to Glasgow I would consider myself in shape for shinty. But, that is still a solid 30 hour more than what I´m doing now, and yesterday I finished a little ragged. Slowly.
I have given myself 45 workout days to meet some goals, and Yesterday I finished one third of them. I´m on the good path...

13th day
so i havne´t written for awhile cause I wanted to leave the pentax pictures up, but i don´t think tha tanyone is interested.....
body is tirrrred today, yesterfday marked day 13 of the 45 double day workouts. today is the beach time with quique!
since the visa got refused back in june, had to get some documents from the parents and all that came in yesterday. is it common knowledge that in the states we write dates like this: mm/dd/yyyy?? we have to rewrite a letter because if the date gets read as dd/mm/yyyy it would invalidate the information on there.... sigh...

aaa yess
Back from madrid, and after about 7 or 8 hours on the bus, with a bunch of loud, stinky people that I have never met before, it was such a nice dig sitting down with pizza and cold beer. And then, admist my temporary bliss, I opened an email to find out that I was awarded 3000 pounds to go study next year. That´s huge!! it´s over 25% of the total tuition over there and what a difference it makes. That will make things much much easier.
Back to my high from the pizza and good news, i´m sure i´ll be back down soon...

cap a madrid
so tonight i get to leave my very comfortable bed (again) for three days in madrid, just to hand in some documents for my visa. hopefully they accept everything and can tell me when and how soon till I pick it up, so I can get a chance to make travel plans for july. if not, no big deal cause I would be just fine hanging out in TGN at the beach and pool and making the most to run, swim, bike and play squash.
suggestions for stuff to do in madrid?! i just did the tourist deal in march with the spankster, so besides sleeping and I got some videos downloaded so that will keep me entertained and hopefully Nika has some time to make some beer rounds!
i have another 6 hours to kill, so i´m gonna go get started on that!

Back.... in several pieces!!!
What a trip to Magherfelt. As I sit here wearing my O'Donovan Rossa Gaelic football jersey, with an aching body from too much Guinness, too little sleep, too much translating, and the absolute SHIT matresses we had in the gymnasium, I get a chance to reflect and say that it was all in all a pretty cool trip.
Castles, seeing a new country (both small town and large city -Belfast), time with the colla, my mates Kerr, Darren, and Shane (prounounced shi-ane) it wasn´t too bad!
Now, time to rest, no? Luckily, today is a holiday in Tarragona, so nothing is open. Oh wait, not luckily... I meant to say, great job Spain, thumbs up!! and additionally, today isn´t even a holiday. some other holiday fell on a weekend and since the people here would revolt if they didn´t get a day off work (God help them, I mean, with 18% unemployment (43% for 18-35 age group) I know how stressful it is having to make some extra green, or in this case, blues reds and greens).
I´m gonna go eat the scraps of food in the refridgerator and then hopefully rest well tonight.

Bam! Quite possibly my favorite tune on the accordion... every time I play it I have a better grip on how it should sound!
Melnet Tune of The Month - June 2011 - Lemmy Brazil's No. 2
This is my first TOTM ever!! Also, the first song that I have been able to play altogether on the melodeon... it's a one row in D.
The song is called "Lemmy Brazil's No. 2", an English hornpipe.
Enjoy!
